From September 24, direct regular flights from Moscow to Egyptian resorts will be launched by the AlMasria airline. The planes will depart from Domodedovo airport.

On September 13, the headquarters announced the resumption of flights with Spain, Iraq, Kenya and Slovakia, as well as the expansion of traffic to the resorts of Egypt. Flights abroad are also allowed from four more cities in Russia.

The first direct flight from Moscow to Hurghada by the order of the tour operator will take place on September 15, and to Sharm el-Sheikh - on September 17. In addition to Moscow, direct flights will fly from three major regional centers.

Rossiya Airlines is launching flight programs from Russian cities to Egyptian resorts. The flights will be operated in cooperation with the tour operator Biblio-Globus.

On August 26 airlines received the right to operate direct flights to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh from 41 cities in Russia.

Rossiya aims to obtain permission to operate more flights from Moscow to the Egyptian resort cities of Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh, increasing the number of flights to fourteen each week.

From August 21, the tour operator Tui Russia is expanding its flight program to Egypt. The frequency of arrival will be increased from seven to ten per week.

The number of flights from Russia to Egypt’s resorts may be boosted by increasing Moscow’s limit as well as introducing flights from Russian areas.

The tour operator Biblio-Globus announced the programs and prices for tours to Egypt.

On July 23, the Coronavirus Operational Headquarters announced the opening of new routes. Flights to Bahrain, the Dominican Republic, Moldova, as well as to Egyptian resorts are opened.

Tour operators are likely to launch charter programs to Egypt in full volume in autumn, when the country's high tourist season begins.

On July 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin canceled decree banning charter flights to Egyptian resorts. Tour operators can again arrange and sell tours with direct flights to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh.

The management of Aeroflot is confident that in the next few days a decision will be made to lift restrictions on charter flights to airports of Egyptian resorts.

Moscow has refrained from publishing the date of the resumption of flights to Egyptian resorts from Russia.

The Russian tourist flow to the resorts of Egypt is likely to return gradually, and will significantly increase by the autumn, and by the end of 2021 it has every chance of recovering.

Moscow hopes to resume flights between Russian cities and Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada in the coming months.

Russia and Egypt agreed that the competent authorities will work out in detail the practical issues for restarting flights from Russia to Egyptian resorts.

The tour operator Anex Tour in May launches its own flight program to Cairo from four regions of Russia. For the Egyptian destination, it will be possible to rebook tours canceled due to the restrictions on flights to Turkey and Tanzania.

According to calculations of 2019, these seven tour operators could offer Russian tourists at least 66.6 thousand seats per week, including to Hurghada - about 34.7 thousand seats, to Sharm el-Sheikh - about 31.9 thousand. Thus, in the case of a full launch of charters, tour operators are ready to send to Egypt over 266 thousand tourists per month. This year, taking into account the availability of free transport capacities for all players, the volumes can be at least the same, if not more, "the message says.

Russia and Egypt have reached an agreement on the resumption of charter flights to the resorts of Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada. Presumably this will happen in March, but the exact date is unknown.

From February 19, NordStar Airlines will launch direct regular flights from Rostov-on-Don to Cairo (Egypt).

On the first flight of Belavia, Russian tourists left Moscow for Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh with one change in Minsk.
