Tour operators can monthly send more than 260 000 Russian tourists to Egypt
After the resumption of charter flights to popular Egyptian resorts, seven large Russian tour operators will be able to send at least 260 000 tourists a month, according to the Association of Russian Tour Operators (ATOR). ATOR clarifies that before the ban on charter traffic, seven major tour operators organized charter programs to Egypt: Coral Travel, Anex Tour, Pegas Touristik, Intourist, Biblio-Globus, TEZ Tour, TUI Russia. "Now they are likely to make tour packages to Egypt with departures from 20 large cities, including Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Krasnodar and others," ATOR notes.
According to calculations of 2019, these seven tour operators could offer Russian tourists at least 66.6 thousand seats per week, including to Hurghada - about 34.7 thousand seats, to Sharm el-Sheikh - about 31.9 thousand. Thus, in the case of a full launch of charters, tour operators are ready to send to Egypt over 266 thousand tourists per month. This year, taking into account the availability of free transport capacities for all players, the volumes can be at least the same, if not more, "the message says.
