Russia and Egypt have reached an agreement on the resumption of charter flights to the resorts of Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Ministry of Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Presumably this will happen in March, but the exact date is unknown. There is no official confirmation of this information from the Russian side.
As an informed source said, "there are no changes yet, everything will be decided after the visit of President Vladimir Putin, who is expected in Egypt in March."
Earlier, the head of the Egyptian aviation authorities, Ashraf Nuweir, said that he expects to resume direct flights from Russia to the Egyptian resorts of the Red Sea Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada in March. According to him, Nordwind airline has sent a request to operate flights from March, 28.
