Armenia is creating an all-in-one app for wine tourism

The Viticulture and Winemaking Foundation of Armenia is developing an app for wine tourism on the «all-inclusive» principle. In the app it will be possible to contact any winery, clarify the possibility of visiting and book a tour - both through tour guides and directly, without intermediaries.

The foundation is currently working on a test version of the app for the Aragatsotn region, whose Ashtarak district is considered one of the key centers of winemaking in Armenia.
The interactive map is planned to reflect not only wine factory, but also private wineries, the number of which has grown significantly in recent years. The map will also indicate landmarks related to the history of winemaking, such as caves with ancient traces of wine production.

In parallel, negotiations are underway with a specialized organization in Georgia, which is developing a similar application. The possibility of mutual inclusion of information is being discussed so that tourists can build routes covering both countries, which increases the attractiveness of the region for travelers.
