When Egypt expects the restoration of tourist flow from Russia
The Russian tourist flow to the resorts of Egypt is likely to return gradually, and will significantly increase by the autumn, and by the end of 2021 it has every chance of recovering.
Atef Abdel Latif, a member of the Association of Tourist Investors in Southern Tourism, told local media that all hotels in the South Sinai and Red Sea have already completed preparations to receive Russians. At the same time, he expects that in the near future, Egyptian resorts will become a coronavirus-free zone, both due to the mass vaccination of all workers, and due to natural conditions that do not contribute to the spread of the virus.
The expert assumes that the recovery of tourism from Russia to Egypt will be gradual. In the coming months, namely June, July, August and September, records can not be expected, but the number of guests from Russia will increase significantly in mid-October 2021, and will finally recover during the last three months of the year.
According to forecasts of Atef Abdel Latif, the number of Russian travelers who will come to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada this year will exceed half a million.
At the same time, the General Assembly of the Chamber of Travel Companies believes that it is not worth using too low cost as an effective method to attract guests, because the Egyptian tourism product must be sold "at a fair price" (at least until the Ministry of Tourism will lift capacity restrictions from hotels).
