Another Egyptian airline will appear on the routes to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh
From September 24, direct regular flights from Moscow to Egyptian resorts will be launched by the AlMasria airline. The planes will depart from Domodedovo airport to Sharm el-Sheikh on Fridays and Saturdays, and to Hurghada on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Inna Beltyukova, chairman of the board of directors of Inna Tour, which acts as the general agent of AlMasria in Russia, told that flight permits have been received yet from the Russian and Egyptian aviation authorities. The tickets are in free sale and presented in search engines. In addition, tour operators will be able to book seats on the boards.
Experts believe that blocks on AlMasria flights will be interesting for primarily medium- or small-scale tour operators in Egypt. For large players, this transportation is not of current interest.
Biblio-Globus, for example, has a strategic partnership with Rossiya airline, a member of the Aeroflot group, which has already collected all the advantages on the Egyptian route, and has received the most delicious permits for Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh.
By the way, the profitability of cooperation in this case is not obvious for AlMasria either. After all, as soon as charter flights to Egypt are allowed (and this will happen sooner or later), tour operators will promptly arrange flight programs on the wings of their controlled airlines. At the same time, observers believe that direct sales of AlMasria air tickets, as well as the formation of dynamic tour packages based on this transportation, are promising.
AlMasria will become the third Egyptian carrier to operate on the routes from Russia to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. Egyptair and Air Cairo (from September, 17) fly to these resorts.
