According to tour operators, sales of tours to Jordan have gradually increased over the past few months, and are starting to show good dynamics. Everything points to a gradual recovery of the demand for the destination.

Russian tourists will be able to visit Jordan if they pass a PCR test for coronavirus or provide a certificate of vaccination.

The Jordanian government has issued a decree according to which foreign citizens can enter the Kingdom without undergoing mandatory quarantine.

Over 30 thousand Russian tourists visited Jordan in 2019. In the nearest future two countries plan to launch direct flights to develop national resorts.

The new destination has appeared in the booking systems of TUI Russia and ANEX Tour operators. These packages are for Jordan. The program will start at the end of October till the beginning of May. Ural airlines will carry tourists to Aqaba. 

In the winter season 2018-2019 the volume of traffic will increase on the Jordanian direction. Tour operators hope that the expansion of transportation will lead to an increase in demand. The several charter chains will be launched at once this season from Moscow to Aqaba (the Red Sea) and Amman (the Dead Sea).

In 2017 Jordan, like many other abroad destinations, showed an increase of the volume of the Russian tourist flow. “Interest to Jordan among the Russians is steadily increasing”, - say experts of the market. The direction is interesting for tourists both prices for beach holidays and the abundance of historical sightseeing places.

The charter program to Jordan for this winter season has increased significantly. Tour operator Pegas Touristik began to transport tourists to Amman by airplanes of NordWind airline once a week (Airbus A321). This is the second charter of the company to Jordan. So, last year's flight from Moscow to Aqaba not only survived, but also increased the frequency more than twice - this year three additional flights added to the two already available ones.

Jordan abolish the mandatory visa fee of 40 dinars ($ 56) for tourists, the publication Daily Telegraph said. Meanwhile, the customers of tour operators who plan to stay in Jordan for at least two nights do not pay for a visa. Independent travelers do not also pay visa fee , if they make reservations for three nights at the hotel and buy a "single travel ticket." Under these conditions, tourists can get a visa at the airport for free. It is expected that the collection of visa fees will be canceled in September.
