Jordan lifts quarantine regime for Russian tourists
The Jordanian government has issued a decree according to which foreign citizens can enter the Kingdom without undergoing mandatory quarantine. The corresponding circular was signed and entered into force on January 13.
According to the document, in order to enter the country, tourists must have with them the results of a PCR test for coronavirus, made no later than 72 hours before departure. At the airport, passengers need to be tested again. The cost of the service is $ 40. In case of a positive result for COVID-19, the foreigner is obliged to go to self-isolation, and at the end of isolation, do the test again.
Nevertheless, the question of direct flights to Jordan (which are now under restrictions) remains unresolved. So far, the most affordable option from Moscow is flights to Amman with a change in Istanbul. But, the ticket price in this case starts from 504 Euros. However, according to travel agents, the demand for travel to the country will be limited. Many tourists are interested to spend holidays in Jordan, and they are ready to spend more money than is a price for a trip to the resorts of the Red and Dead Seas.
