Flights through the airspace of Iran and Israel resumed: the Middle East crisis is nearing its end
On June 13, Rosaviatsia banned Russian air carriers from flying to and from Israel and Iran until June 26 due to the sharp deterioration of the situation in the Middle East. At the same time, Iran and Israel closed their airspace to civilian aircraft.
Rosaviatsia has now lifted the ban on flights in the airspace of Iraq, Iran and Jordan. Logistics chains will soon be restored, and flights, including to the Emirates, will be carried out along the usual routes, which will have a positive impact on the tourism industry.
On June 27, the first flight from Iran by Mahan Air arrived from Mashhad to Moscow and flew back. Aeroflot also began selling tickets for flights to Tehran on July 4.
In connection with the opening of Israeli airspace, Russian airlines Red Wings and Azimuth decided to resume flights to Israel.
Thus, from July 2, Red Wings plans to operate flights to Tel Aviv from Moscow, Sochi and St. Petersburg, and from July 3 - from Mineralnye Vody.
Azimuth resumes flights to Tel Aviv according to the schedule from June 27, 2025 from Sochi and from June 30, 2025 from Mineralnye Vody.
The largest Israeli airline El Al announced the resumption of flights from July 1 between Tel Aviv and Moscow.
Air Arabia, which suspended flights to Russia on June 13, 2025 due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, also announced the restoration of the route network from the end of June. A notice about the resumption of all flights on previously suspended routes, including from Russia, appeared on the airline's website. Tickets for the flights are already on sale.
