Oman Air adds Tashkent and Sochi direct flights
Oman Air launched two new direct routes from Muscat: to Tashkent (starting July 3) and to Sochi (starting July 2). The Tashkent service marks the airline’s first-ever connection to Central Asia. Flights to Sochi operate once a week—departing Muscat on Thursdays and returning from Sochi on Fridays—with a flight time of just 4 hours and 15 minutes. This expansion is part of Oman Air’s broader strategy to boost tourist inflows and improve international accessibility to the Sultanate. According to the Oman Tourism Office in Russia, all airports, hotels, resorts, and attractions are operating normally, with no restrictions on air travel.
Fares (one‑way, economy):
- Muscat–Sochi: from $273 (round‑trip from $490)
- Muscat–Tashkent: from $205 (round‑trip from $500)
