Abu Dhabi DCT holds roadshow in three Russian cities
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT) conducted a roadshow in three Russian cities, during which representatives of the emirate’s tourism industry met with local tour operators and agents, the department’s press service reported. The Experience Abu Dhabi roadshow, held from August 3 to 7 in Kazan, St. Petersburg, and Moscow, featured 23 participants from hotels, airlines, and destination management companies in Abu Dhabi. The meetings were attended by 350 Russian tour operators and agents.
At the awards ceremony for top partners in Moscow, DCT’s Director of International Operations, Abdulla Yousuf, noted that “the Russian market has long held an important place in Abu Dhabi’s tourism development strategy.” Among the Russian tour operators that sent the most tourists to Abu Dhabi last year, he named Anex Tour, Art Tour, Biblio Globus, Coral Travel, Intourist, Fun&Sun, Space Travel, and many others.
In 2025, Abu Dhabi received 257,000 guests from Russia, a 24% increase compared to the previous year. Russia also ranked second among international markets for the number of guests staying in Abu Dhabi last year.
