More than 200 thousand tourists from Russia can visit the Emirates in the summer
In the summer of 2023, the Emirates can repeat the success of last year on the Russian market and accept up to 20% of the annual tourist flow from Russia. Tourists choose the summer Emirates focusing primarily on price. Even the most luxurious hotels in the summer months become 40-60% cheaper than in winter. 95% of requests are for a beach holiday.
In the summer season of 2023, the range of beach destinations from tour operators has become wider than last year. Turkey is getting more expensive, but there is Egypt, there are tours to Asia, tours with connections to Montenegro, etc. The expansion of the network of international routes along with the weakening of the ruble has led to some decline of Russians' interest in summer holidays in the UAE.
However, experts predict that in the summer season of 2023, the UAE will retain its second place in terms of demand with approximately the same figures for the tourist flow as last year. For example, some tour operators note that the share of summer sales of the UAE has increased from 10% last year to 19-20% this year.
The leader among the emirates of the UAE among Russian tourists in the summer, as well as in the winter season, is Dubai. This is due, among other things, wide air transportation in the destination.
In Anex, Dubai holds a share of 60% of the total volume of tours in the UAE. The second place in the tour operator’s list is shared by Ras al-Khaimah, Ajman and Sharjah. Next in demand are Fujairah and Abu Dhabi.
In Russian Express company, Dubai is also in the first place. Further in the ranking of tourists' preferences are Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman and Sharjah.
Fun&Sun has a 40% share of Dubai this summer. The emirate of Ras al-Khaimah has 35%, Fujairah - 10%, Abu Dhabi - 10%. In Intourist, the share of Dubai reaches 60–80%, depending on the month of arrival.
