The UAE has become a year-round destination

According to the results of the first two months of 2023, Russia became the second in terms of tourist flow to Dubai, surpassing the pre-Covid 2019 figure by 76%. Tour operators predict high interest in the emirate in the summer season 2023 as well.

Representatives of the tour operator Intourist note that Dubai remains in the top of current sales. “The destination is very popular on the market. Throughout the year, Dubai accounts for 40% -80% of all bookings of the UAE,” Intourist reports.

Dubai and the UAE as a whole have become a year-round destination for the Russian market, including due to attractive summer prices and more expensive Turkey. Vladimir Rubtsov, CEO of the tour operator Fun&Sun, believes that part of the tourists who are used to book expensive hotels in Turkey (for example - luxury hotels in Belek) may consider a summer vacation in the UAE as an alternative.

As per the top manager of Fun&Sun, summer tours to the Emirates will cost 20-30% cheaper than a comparable top offers in Turkey. In addition, in the summer there are seasonal discounts up to 60% in the Emirates.

Similar assessments are shared by other market participants, according to which Dubai will remain in the top demand in the summer season 2023. Experts say, summer sales volumes of the destination can grow by 20-25% compared to last year. This trend was confirmed by the active sales of tours to Dubai for the May holidays.
