Forecasts for the tourist flow to the UAE for the summer of 2023

According to experts' forecasts, this year the UAE will remain one of the main tourist destinations for Russians, but Turkey will still retain its leadership at the end of the year.

“Turkey has raised prices again, but this is still a different destination. Turkish All Inclusive cannot be compared with All Inclusive in the UAE. And, of course, there is no such animation in the UAE as in Turkey. The climate is different. So, often tourists who are accustomed to spend summer holidays in Turkey will not always consider the UAE as an alternative,” Russian Express tour operator says.

This view is shared by Artur Muradyan, ATOR Vice President and CEO of Space Travel. “Most likely, the UAE will be again in the second place in 2023. It is still difficult for Thailand with its transportation volume to compete with the Emirates in the winter season,” the expert says.

“Tourists have tasted the summer UAE. In addition, it is a traditionally visa-free destination for citizens of the Russian Federation. But last year's summer in terms of the volume of tourists may not be repeated in 2023,” Russian Express suggests.

At the same time, Space Travel predicts that tour operators in 2023 will generally maintain summer volumes of block transportation to the Emirates, and some will even increase them compared to pre-pandemic figures.

The growth of the tourist flow to all emirates will also continue, including Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Dubai will continue to be a leader for business and leisure tours.
