Dubai and Russian tour operators talk at ATM

Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), together with the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), held a roundtable with Russian tour operators on 16 September as part of Arabian Travel Market 2026. The meeting focused on trends in the Russian market and plans for the new season.  

The discussion was moderated by ATOR Executive Director Maya Lomidze. Participants included DET Senior Vice President for International Operations Khur Al Khaja; ATOR Vice Presidents Arthur Muradyan (Space Travel) and Taras Kobishchanov (Russian Express); Vladimir Rubtsov (TT-Travel/FUN&SUN); Dmitry Arutyunov (ART-TUR); and Fazil Ozmen (ANEX Dubai). Emirates Vice President for Commercial Operations in Southern and Central Europe Flavio Ghiringhelli and flydubai Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations Ceyhun Efendi joined the aviation part of the session.  

Lomidze said it was the first event in Dubai organized jointly by ATOR and DET, adding that the open and candid discussion helped industry players and DET exchange views on demand, market needs and practical steps ahead of the new season.
