The Russian Ministry of Transport has predicted a record growth in air traffic between Russia and the UAE this year

The Russian Ministry of Transport expects that by the end of 2025, the volume of passenger air traffic between Russia and the United Arab Emirates will be a record. This was announced on August 7 by Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin. According to him, cooperation in the field of transport between Russia and the UAE is developing very well, and the volume of air traffic is only growing every year.

«We already see that this year's statistics exceed the statistics of the previous year by 20-25%. We expect another record for the year. Here, we are working, among other things, to expand the number of Russian airports where companies from the Emirates will be able to fly», - Nikitin explained.

According to the department, about 1 million 350 thousand passengers were transported between Russia and the UAE in 2024, and almost 750 thousand passengers in the first five months of 2025.
