More flights will fly to Barcelona in winter
The volume of winter transportation to Barcelona this year increased compared to last year. Tui became the only tour operator which has increased air volumes. If last year the company got blocks of seats on regular flights, this year in addition to blocks Tui launches own charter on the basis of Ural Airlines on Saturdays from December 28 to March 21. Moreover, for the period of New Year's holidays (January 1 and 8) two additional boards will fly to Barcelona. The winter program of other players is the same as last year’s one. Anex Tour will fly to Barcelona on Wednesdays and Saturdays with Azur Air from December 28, and Coral Travel — with the same frequency on the boards of Red Wings. Biblio-Globus, like last year, launches a weekly Rossia Airlines flight on Saturdays from December 28. The volume of regular transportation also did not change - Aeroflot still flies to the capital of Catalonia 4 times a day, while Ural Airlines and S7 maintained their frequencies (2 and 4 times a week). The cost of round-trip tickets starts from 13 thousand rubles (183 Euros) per person.
According to the estimates of the general director of the tour operator Vremya-tour Alexander Skalin, the increase amounted to about 150 seats per week, or 15–20%. With such volumes of transportation any changes in flight programs are not expected, as the demand for the destination has grown a little. The tour operator Unicorn (working with Nordavia) said the company is considering launching their flights, but a decision has not yet been made. Anex Tour also did not exclude the expansion of transportation - the loading of the first flight (28.12.2019) already exceeds 70%.
