Tours to ski resorts in Bulgaria are already on sale

The first ski tours to Bulgaria appeared on the sale of tour operators. Thus, tour operators Intourist, Anex Tour, Tez Tour, Ics Travel Group, Russian Express and Tui Russia offer a winter product on Aeroflot and Bulgaria Air flights from Moscow to Sofia.

Coral Travel also plans to sell package tours to Bulgaria in the winter season on the basis of regular flights.

According to experts of the tourism market, if most of the Alpine ski resorts remain closed to the Russian market, Bulgaria has a chance to draw off a part of the Russian ski audience.

“There will be a demand for winter Bulgaria, because there is a shortage of foreign ski offers on the market. Last season, only Russian, Serbian and Turkish ski resorts were available for Russians,” says Ics Travel Group.

“We have the first requests and reservations for winter Bulgaria, but, unfortunately, not yet in the volume of 2019,” Russian Express comments on the situation.

According to the tour operators, taking into account the tense situation with COVID-19 and the lack of depth of sales in the most destinations, the revival of demand for winter Bulgaria will not occur until November.

Nowadays, Austria accepts Russian tourists, but so far only after a mandatory 10-days quarantine. If this requirement is canceled, then the Austrian resorts could lead the sales of foreign ski destinations.
