Tour operators received encouraging signal from Greek government

The Greek government has developed a quarantine exit plan, according to which the relaxation of restrictions will begin in mid-May.

According to the document, from May 10, recovery will continue by phases, provided the coronavirus curve to align. The cancellation of all measures can be completed by July.

As for the tourism sector, according to the plan, the restrictions will be canceled in mid-June or early July. Offers on the website of tour operators with a flight in May have already appeared - in particular, on the website of Mouzenidis Travel. However, the company’s managers reorient buyers for June. The Tez Tour website also does not have the opportunity to choose a tour in May, the system offers options that start from June 6–8.

Ambotis Holidays provides half of the main page of the website for Greek offers: all offers start from the first days of June. The forecast that tourists will be able to go to Greece in the summer was also given by Savvas Karasavidis, the consultant of the company. “We dream of Greece now and plan a vacation in June, July,” he stressed.

However, it is too early to make far-reaching forecasts: Russia’s air traffic is on hold, and the internal situation with the spread of coronavirus infection has not even reached its peak.
