Tour operators note an increase in demand for tours to the Seychelles

The fall in tourist traffic from the Russian Federation to the Seychelles in March and April was similar in dynamics to the Maldives. In March, 2,8 times fewer tourists from Russia arrived in the Seychelles than in January, and in April – 5,63 times less.

However, the Seychelles are rising slightly in May, mainly due to the May "high" holiday period.

“In the Seychelles, we see a slight recovery on the market in comparison with April,” say the Pac Group.

“Despite the fact that there are no direct flights to the Seychelles, the depreciation of the dollar against the ruble and the emergence of affordable options for flights with Arab airlines also led to an increase in sales in May,” Russian Express confirms.

Tourists still fly to the Seychelles by connecting flights, there are no direct ones. According to experts, the demand for the Seychelles, of course, could be significantly supported by direct transportation to the islands.

However, due to the well-known difficulties with a limited number of “non-sanctioned” aircraft of Russian airlines, it is not entirely clear when the carriers will decide to take such a step.
