The tour operators, working on the destination of Thailand, have arranged flight programs for the winter season 2019-2020 (from October 2019 to May 2020). The upcoming winter season promises to be difficult for the destination, experts do not expect a significant increase in demand, but, however, do not predict a serious decline.
Konstantin Kinel, the head of the marketing service of the Russian representative office of the Thai Tourism Authority (TAT), believes that the number of Russian tourists in the winter season is expected to be at the level of last year (that is, it will approach the level of 1,5 million).
Based on a stable, but not growing demand, tour operators restrained approach to the organization of a flight program to Thailand for the winter season: in general, the total number of seats on flights to Thailand remained almost at the same level as last year. Thus, the tour operator Coral Travel in the upcoming winter season canceled programs from Belgorod. Pegas Touristik has decreased the number of departure cities - 29 this year instead 33 last year.
This winter season Coral Travel bases its program on Royal Flight and Nordwind flights (the tour operator shares these flights with Pegas Touristik). The flights to Thailand in the interests of Pegas Touristik will be operated by Nordwind and Pegas Fly airlines, and the player also has blocks on Royal Flight boards, which he shares with Coral Travel.
The Anex Tour flight program remained at the level of last year’s winter season, but there are also changes - the player arranges the boards with a capacity of 336 seats, so the capacity of the boards increased by more than 41%. The flights are performed by the strategic partner of the tour operator - Azur Air airline.
The tour operator Paks this year, as in the past, took blocks of seats on Thai Airways flights on the rout Moscow - Bangkok. The Paks flight program on Thai Airways starts on September 7, 2019, departures are 4 times a week. After arriving in Bangkok, tourists are able to fly to other resorts in Thailand (Phuket, Krabi, etc.).
The volume of the flight program to Thailand from the tour operator Tui Russia in the upcoming winter season will triple, both due to the expansion of the flight program from Moscow and from the regions. From Moscow, the Tui flight program to Phuket is arranged on blocks of seats of IFly flights. From the regions the tour operator takes blocks of seats on charter flights of Azur Air to Phuket and Bangkok (arriving in Utapao near Pattaya).
