Over the three quarters of 2023, the outbound flow from Russia amounted to 21 020 012 people, which is 12,4% higher compared to the same period in 2022.

Turkey and Serbia have become the most popular foreign business destinations for Russian businessmen in 2023. Other most popular business travel destinations include Armenia, UAE, Uzbekistan, China, Belarus, Italy, and India. Demand for flights to all these countries increased compared to 2022.

Russians are the leaders in the number of tourist trips to Serbia. For the period of January-February 27,5 thousand tourists visited this country, which is almost twice as many as a year ago, and more than 12% of the total foreign tourist flow.

The rules of entry to the countries of the Balkan Peninsula for Russian tourists, who have been vaccinated against coronavirus with the domestic drug "Sputnik V", have been published. Most of the states located in this region of Europe have established loyal conditions for Russian travelers.

Tour operator Intourist has opened sales of tours to Serbia. The cost of package tours with regular flights is quite affordable.

Nordwind began flying from Moscow (Sheremetyevo) to Belgrade on January 24, together with Aeroflot and Serbian carrier Air Serbia.

Tour operators have started selling tours to Serbia, where Russia has resumed flights from October 17. The range of products includes excursion, medical and gastronomic tours. High demand is not expected, experts say, but it may be stable.

Aeroflot Airlines plans to resume regular flights to Belgrade and Tokyo.

Serbia is becoming increasingly popular among Russian tourists. From the number of federal tour operators new players are entering in the destination.

In 2019 European routes account for about 8% of all tickets sold by Tutu.ru in December. The number of travelers, who decided to go to Europe for the holidays at the beginning of December, fell by 4%.

Last year was marked by the fall of the Russian tourist flow to Serbia. The beginning of 2019 is marked by a growing interest to this country from the part of customers of tour operators. According to official Serbian statistics, in 2018 the number of tourist arrivals in the country increased by 14.2% in annual terms - up to 1.710 million.

“Air Serbia airline in June 2019 plans to start flights from Belgrade to Krasnodar,” the company said.  “The airline will start flights on June 3. It is planned that this flight will be regular, so it will be operated all year round. Currently, in the Russian Federation our airline performs flights to Moscow and St. Petersburg," said the representative of the airline. 

Russia, despite the times of crisis, has held the positions on the Serbian market. In January-July 2016, 24 408 Russian tourists visited Serbia – about as much as in the same period a year ago. At the same time Russia is the absolute leader among all the countries in the duration of stay in Serbia.
