The demand for ski tours to Serbia is growing

Fans of European ski holidays in the conditions of inaccessibility of traditional leaders of the demand in this segment drew attention to ski Serbia. In the upcoming winter season, the destination has good chances for success, which is confirmed by good sales dynamics. Serbia attracts skiers by a budget price and vast opportunities for skiing and recreation.

Serbia today is the only European destination available for mass Russian tourists. In addition to sightseeing, pilgrimage, health and gastronomic tourism, the country offers its guests ski holidays too. It is not surprising that on the eve of the winter season, along with skiing Russia and Turkey, tourists began to consider tours to Serbia.

Tour operators, working in the destination (Ics Travel Group, Tui Russia, Paks, Vedi Group), note an increase in requests and bookings for ski tours to Serbia. Tourists buy mainly tours to the popular and demanded ski resort of the country - Kopaonik.

Olga Stoyanovich, a representative of the National Tourism Organization of Serbia, recalled that Russians are in the first place in the number of foreign tourists arriving at Kopaonik resort.

Ms. Stoyanovich expressed hope for a recovery of the volumes of Russian tourist traffic lost due to the pandemic. “In order to stimulate demand, Serbian hotels are lowering prices. This year, hotels have reduced prices by 20%,” said Ms Stoyanovich.
