The flight program to Antalya for the Winter 2023/24 and Summer 2024 seasons was announced by the tour operator Pegas.

The tour operator Anex has announced seven charter destinations for the upcoming winter season. This winter direct charters of Anex will fly to Egypt, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Cuba and Turkey.

Sales of tours to the ski resorts of Turkey were opened by the tour operator Anex Tour. In total, programs are planned from three cities of departure on the basis of regular flights.

In Turkey, for January-June 2023, 2 614 029 visits from the Russian Federation were recorded. This is only 3,5% less than at the same time in pre-COVID 2019, and 79% more than in the first half of 2022. However, the main growth is due to the short transit trips to Istanbul: Antalya's share in total trips has fallen to 50%.

2 million Russian tourists will not go to Turkey. The reason is the increase of prices for tours this summer by almost half.

At least 5-6 million tourists will use package tours in the summer of 2023, most of which will go to Turkey. At the end of July, this destination is the first in terms of demand, and the share of sales from various tour operators and package tour aggregators varies from 35 to 65%.

Turkey's tourism sector has become the center of attention of Russians after a significant increase in the cost of recreation. Vacations in Turkey in 2023 equaled the price of exotic Caribbean resorts: prices for two persons reached $ 2 420 this summer.

Turkey and Serbia have become the most popular foreign business destinations for Russian businessmen in 2023. Other most popular business travel destinations include Armenia, UAE, Uzbekistan, China, Belarus, Italy, and India. Demand for flights to all these countries increased compared to 2022.

A multiple change in the demand of tourists for the summer was recorded by Russian tour operators. While prices are rising in Turkey, previously more expensive destinations, such as Thailand, Sri Lanka and even the Maldives, are beginning to “equal” with this destination. And Turkey continues to lose its positions due to inflated prices and problems with air transportation.

If the number of Russian tourists in the main Turkish resort remains at the level of last year – which is 3,5 million – Turkish hoteliers will consider it as a success. So, Turkey decided how many Russian tourists the country is waiting for in Antalya.

Instead of Turkey, Russian tourists can go to the UAE, Thailand and even the Maldives - prices for hotels there in summer are even cheaper than Turkish ones.

The announcement of a launch of a new flight program for tourists from Moscow to Istanbul was made by the tour operator Pegas. Program’s duration is from 05.06.2023 to 29.06.23.

The tour operator Anex Tour presented its full schedule of flights to Turkey for the upcoming summer season. Flights will depart from 19 cities of Russia.

Russian tourists are increasingly booking premium hotels in Turkey. The demand for more expensive tours has increased by 30-40% compared to last year.

In January-March 2023, 213 101 tourists from Russia visited the resorts of the Antalya province in Turkey. The tourist flow from Russia to Antalya in the first quarter increased by 56% compared to the pre-Covid period: in January-March 2019, 137 thousand Russians visited Antalya.

Some tourists are reoriented from Turkey to Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and even Tunisia. This is due to high prices. Not everyone is ready to pay $ 2 500 - $ 3 850 for 7 nights at those Turkish hotels that used to cost 1,5–2 times cheaper.

Egypt moved from the third position to the first since March 8, having increased its share by 6 points. The UAE lost a little - 2 points, Thailand lost 5 points. And Turkey, on the contrary, increased its share by 4 points.

The tour operator Tez Tour announced a program of flights to Antalya from Moscow and Novosibirsk. Departures will start on April 1 and will last until November 5. From the capital the flights will be daily. Southwind Airlines and Yamal Airlines are responsible for transportation.

New excursion tours to Turkey have been launched by Anex Tour tour operator. As before, the tours are offered on Tailwind Airlines from Moscow from 24.03.2023, as well as on regular flights from Moscow and other cities.

Anex revealed the details of a new program to Izmir for Russian tourists. The start of the program is scheduled for April 29 on the wings of Turkish Pegasus Airlines and will continue until the end of the summer season.

Aeroflot increases the frequency of flights on Moscow-Antalya route as season of vacations approach. The increase of transportation is largely for Biblio-Globus tourists.

Aeroflot has announced the launch of regular flights from Moscow to Izmir in the summer schedule. Flights will be operated from May 27 on Boeing-737 aircraft four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The charter program of Anex Tour and Intourist on the route Moscow - Istanbul - Moscow will be arranged on the boards of Tailwind Airlines, which will fly from Moscow to Istanbul from March 24 to October 31, 2023.

The earthquake in Turkey led to a dramatic drop of sales, but demand for tours has quickly recovered. The depth of booking tours to Turkey has reached autumn.

At the end of February, Anex Tour launched its new travel programs to Antalya. The programs will be carried out from 16 Russian cities to Antalya by Southwind aircraft.
