For the Dominican destination last winter season went “smoothly”, but the expectations of tour operators were overstated, which led to the need to optimize flight programs. This was largely due to the fact that, in addition to the Dominican Republic, players increased volumes to Cuba and Mexico. In the new winter season, a number of major tour operators, acting on the Dominican destination, kept their volumes at the same level or increased them using the new regional departure points. In general, the players rationally formed their flight programs in order to prevent “burning”. 

The tour operator Pegas Touristik remains on relatively new destinations for the Russian market - Santo Domingo and the Samana Peninsula. In the winter 2019/20 season, the tour operator will perform three flights a month to Santo Domingo on the wings of Nordwind Airline. With the same frequency the boards will fly to the airport of the Saman Peninsula. Pegas Touristik’s charter flights to Punta Cana and Puerto Plata will continue. 

For the upcoming season the tour operator Anex Tour expands the geography of flights to the Dominican Republic from Russia. So, the new flights of Azur Air are planned from Yekaterinburg and Kazan. From January 1 of this year, all Azur Air flights are performed to La Romana Airport - from this point transfers are carried out to all other resorts, including Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, etc. 

For the first time the tour operator Coral Travel launches its charters to Punta Cana instead the tour operator Biblio-Globus, which this year reoriented its flights to the other destinations. The tour operator’s flight program has already started in August. Departures are carried out only from Moscow, with a frequency of two times a week. On the route Moscow - Punta Cana - Moscow Coral Travel uses the new Boeing 777-300 of Royal Flight, the boards of which also have a business class.  

Other tour operators arrange their winter programs to the Dominican Republic on regular flights.
