Instructions for crossing the Mexican border will be issued for tourists from Russia

In early December 2024, Russian tour operators announced increased number of entrance refusals. Travelers with paid tours, confirmed bookings and return tickets into the country. An appeal to the country ambassador in this regard was sent by 14 tour operators, including Art Tour, Russian Express, Caribbean Club, ITM group, Intourist, ICS Travel Group, Quinta Tour, ClickVoyage, Latina Travel, PAC Group, Miracle, Vesyoly Veter, Vand, Svoi Lyudi. They indicated that the number of refusals had increased up to 10% of the total tourist flow. The refusal was explained by the escalation of the migration crisis with the United States. 

In this regard, Russian tour operators and Mexican Ambassador Eduardo Villegas Mejias agreed to develop recommendations for Russian tourists on how to cross the border of this country. The issue was discussed at the ambassador meeting with the representatives of tour operators December 6, 2024.
