A Russian hotel chain brand is entering the Cuban market for the first time

Cosmos Hotel Group, Russia's leading national hotel operator, and Gaviota S.A., one of Cuba's largest tour operators, have signed a management agreement for the 5-star Sierra Cristal Hotel, located in the Cuban resort of Holguin.

The five-star Sierra Cristal by Cosmos Hotels hotel complex was built last year. It is designed for 640 rooms of three categories: Standard, Junior Suite and equipped with a barrier-free environment. The hotel including its own private beach, covers 13.4 hectares.

The hotel is located 25 km from the city of Antilla in the province of Holguín on the Atlantic coast. The nearest international airport, Frank País Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Frank País), is 114 km away.
