Fyodor Konyukhov rowed across the South Atlantic for the first time in history

On December 1, 2024 Russian traveler Fedor Konyukhov left the port of the Argentine city of Ushuaia on the row boat "Akros". In just 68 days, Fedor was able to sail alone along one of the most dangerous routes of the world's oceans, cross the South Atlantic and approach the prime meridian.

During this time, he was on the verge of life and death several times. Konyukhovs` boat capsized more than 20 times, and the traveler, with his vast practice, admitted that this was the first time he had experienced such a thing.

Konyukhovs` journey on the Akros boat continues. His goal is to reach Cape Luin in western Australia across the Indian Ocean. This is slightly less than what the Russian has already passed — 4,2 thousand nautical miles or 7,778 km.
