Germany has limited the issuance of visas in Russia until May 15
As the German Embassy in the Russian Federation reports, visas at the German Embassy and Consulates in Russia are limited until May 15, applications can be accepted in exceptional cases.
"Visas at the embassy and the Consulate General are limited until May 15, 2020. Applications are currently only possible in exceptional cases," the embassy said in a statement.
The embassy also said that issued visas to Germany are limited in time and will not be extended, despite the closure of borders between countries due to the coronavirus pandemic. Refund of consular fee for unused visa is not provided. Diplomats do not recommend hurrying with the execution of new entry documents, since the epidemiological situation has not yet returned to normal.
In connection with the closure of the Schengen zone, almost all European countries in March suspended the application for visas to Russian citizens.
