Tourists from the Ural region will fly to the UAE
Ural Airlines will open a direct flight from Yekaterinburg to Sharjah. The carrier announced this on its Telegram channel on Friday.
From March 23, the flight will be operated weekly on Tuesdays. A ticket for the first flight can be purchased for 540 Euros. Business class is available at a price of 2 070 Euros. After the traditionally peak vacation dates, the cost of the flight in April will be reduced by 15–20%.
According to representatives of local travel agencies, it is not yet clear whether the announced flights to Sharjah will take place. Nevertheless, in the context of a limited choice of foreign destinations, the demand for the UAE is quite high, despite the quarantine measures.
Since mid-February, the carrier transports tourists from Yekaterinburg to Dubai twice a week - on Tuesdays and Sundays. The minimum ticket price in March is 322 Euros.
In April, the schedule will be adjusted and the frequency of transportation will increase to 3 times a week - on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The price for a seat on board varies from 402 to 954 Euros.
Tourists to enter Dubai must provide a negative PCR test for COVID-19, received no later than 72 hours before departure. For passengers arriving at Sharjah Airport, this period is extended to 96 hours. Upon arrival, all foreign citizens are required to undergo re-testing for COVID-19 by the PCR method and wait for its results, observing self-isolation in a hotel or other place of temporary stay.
