Tour operators: there is a high demand for the first UAE flights
Russian tourists met the start of flights from Russia to the UAE and the Maldives with great demand. At the same time, mostly expensive 5* hotels are in trend. But in general, at the moment, prices in the Emirates are more than attractive.
Also, experts of the travel market expect that in the near future the number of flights will be increased and, accordingly, the prices for transportation will also return to the normal level.
On Friday, September 11, Aeroflot restarted flights to the UAE after the Russian authorities in early September officially opened the Emirates for flights. The Russian national air carrier will fly to Dubai twice a week. Emirates has also restored flights to Dubai on Fridays and Saturdays.
According to the estimates of tour operators, the opening of these destinations - not only the Emirates, but also the Maldives - tourists are "tired to wait" and the demand at the moment is very high. “Before the opening of flights, we worked in a “standby mode” - now all our employees both in the Emirates and Indian Ocean’s departments, work in the offices very hard,” the leading tour operators reported.
“There are a lot of applications now, tourists yearned for a good holidays and now they are trying hard to send themselves there. At the same time, applications are received both for the coming dates and for October, November and until the New Year,” Dmitry Arutyunov, general director of the tour operator Art-tour, described the situation.
