Aeroflot is preparing to resume flights to the UAE, Egypt and the Maldives
Aeroflot expects to start flights to the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and the Maldives "as soon as possible" after the approval of slots, timetable and security issues with the authorities of these states.
In turn, S7 Airlines, according to the representative of the company, is ready to resume flights on Novosibirsk - Dubai route, but is waiting for the distribution of frequencies, which are currently unknown.
Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin signed an order on September 2 on the restoration of air communication with these countries. It is planned that there will be two flights a week to the UAE and the Maldives, and three to Cairo. At the same time, experts drew attention to the fact that such a quantity for the market is not enough. Last year only Aeroflot before the pandemic sent three airplanes per day from Moscow to Dubai, and the company believes that there is every reason to expand these quotas.
