Dubai opens borders for Russians

Dubai since July 7 will open its borders for the entry of foreign tourists, including Russians. The tourists must have a document on negative COVID-19 test result, made no earlier than 96 hours before arrival, or pass an analysis at Dubai airports. The temperature at the airport will be measured by thermal scanners.

The government’s official statement also said that holders of a residence permit are able to come to the Emirate from June 22. From June 23, the residents of Dubai are allowed to travel abroad.

Experts are convinced that the news is positive and will have a positive impact on the Russian travel industry. On June 15, Emirates resumed flights to 16 destinations, but Russia is not among them. Also Russia is not included in the Etihad airways schedule, which currently operates flights to 20 destinations.
