Tour operators note a change in demand for the Dominican Republic
Tour operators told about the demand for the Dominican Republic for New Year's dates. So, in Tui Russia note a 15% increase in the number of bookings compared the same period last year. The positive dynamics of sales of tours to the Dominican Republic the company connects with several factors: “The hotels of the Republic offer a really high level of service on the All inclusive basis and tourists can enjoy direct flights and discounts buying the tours.”
Coral Travel believes that the expansion of flight programs of tour operators affected the demand. This year the company has launched its charters with departures twice a week from Moscow to Punta Cana.
On the eve of the season, Anex Tour expanded the geography of departure cities - from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Yekaterinburg.
Pegas Touristik also called the Dominican Republic as one of the most popular Caribbean destinations. The company said: “The flights departing from November to mid-January are loaded from 50 to 90%. Hotels actively provide 20-30% discounts when you book rooms before October 31 and for some hotels discounts reach 40%. Sales for New Year’s dates are much better this year - there are three times more applications compared to the same period in 2018.” The Dominican Republic is also in demand in the regions - travelers can use combined fixed-price tours with a regular Nordwind flight.
According to tour operators, Russian tourists prefer tours lasting from 9 to 12 days in 4-5* hotels on All Inclusive system.
