The Norwegian Embassy will resume issuing tourist visas to Russians
The Norwegian Embassy in Moscow expects to resume accepting applications from Russians for tourist visas in May, according to the website of the diplomatic mission.
They said that from April 4, the submission of applications for all types of residence permits and Schengen visas is also resumed. It will be possible to submit documents at VFS visa centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg and a number of other Russian cities.
Earlier it became known that France lifted restrictions related to the pandemic for Russian citizens to obtain tourist visas from April 1. Russians will be able to apply to the embassy for visas without any restrictions due to the coronavirus.
“Recently, restrictions on entry into France related to the COVID-19 pandemic were eased for those arriving from Russia. Enrollment for a visa is now possible for a large number of categories of applicants, the diplomatic mission specified.
It is explained that from the new month, tourists will be able to apply to the embassy for visas without any restrictions due to the coronavirus.
However, the Russians were reminded that the granted visa does not mean that they can automatically arrive in France.
“The issuance of a visa does not guarantee the possibility of immediate entry into the territory, where restrictive measures at the border are still in force,” the press service added.
Prior to this, the head of Rostourism, Zarina Doguzova, reported that the Egyptian authorities had temporarily canceled fines for Russian tourists for delaying the period of visa-free stay in the country.
