The largest US airline company will cease flights to Russia.

September 6 the “Delta Airline” company’s flight on the route Moscow - New York will be the last this year. Thus, the largest US company stops direct flights between the US and Russia. After leaving “Delta Airlines” the only carrier, which implements direct flights on the route Moscow - New York, will be "Aeroflot". In the past year “Delta Airlines” has stopped the winter flights to Moscow. In May the carrier resumed flights, which were performed five times a week. According to observers, in May 2017 we can expect again returning of the “Delta” to the Russian market. In experts’ opinion, the fall of passenger traffic was the reason of leaving. Lack of demand is explained by rapid growth of dollar price of tickets compared with the summer period of the previous year. In addition, the carrier cannot compete totally with the price policy of "Aeroflot".
