The Hungarian Consulate has decided to introduce restrictions for a number of tour operators on the number of visas issued to Russian tourists.

On September 13, the headquarters announced the resumption of flights with Spain, Iraq, Kenya and Slovakia, as well as the expansion of traffic to the resorts of Egypt. Flights abroad are also allowed from four more cities in Russia.

The Russian anti-coronavirus crisis center said that restrictions on regular and charter flight travel from Russia to the number of abroad destinations will be lifted on August 27.

To travel to Hungary, tourist needs a valid Schengen visa. The Hungarian side accepts documents for it from August 2. A prerequisite for submitting an application is a certificate of a complete course of covid vaccination.

According to the Hungarian Embassy in the Russian Federation, from July 27 Russian citizens can enter Hungary without restrictions (quarantine and PCR tests), if they have a valid Schengen visa and a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

Russian travelers who have been vaccinated against coronavirus will not need to take additional tests to enter Hungary.

The operational headquarters informed on the opening of air links with eight new countries. Once again, either little-demanded or closed for tourists destinations are opened. The number of flights to Egypt and Greece has increased.

On December 28 will be the first flight of Ural Airlines from Moscow to Budapest. The carrier will fly to the capital of Hungary from Zhukovsky Airport three times a week.

In 2018 Hungarian low-budget airline Wizz Air plans to increase transportation to Russia by 27%, up to 145 thousand. "Up to the end of 2017, we plan to transport about 14 thousand passengers from St. Petersburg, from Moscow - 100 thousand passengers", - said Wizz Air Commercial Director George Michalopulos.

Since August 27, the low cost airline Wizz Air will launch direct scheduled flights from the northern capital to Budapest and back. According to the representatives of the Russian and Hungarian tourist industry, a direct flight will promote the growth of tourist traffic in both directions. The flights will be performed twice a week by A320 aircraft.
