More than 600 athletes to take part in Ride Ajman 2021

In conjunction with the celebrations of the 50th UAE National Day, and the important development the sports sector has achieved during this period, and as part of Ajman’s strategy to support and promote sports and encourage the adoption of a healthy lifestyle by offering all kinds of events and activities, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development is organizing the fifth edition of Ride Ajman 2021 in collaboration with Endurance Sports Services.

The race launches with the participation of more than 600 athletes and contestants from Al Zorah area on the 3rd of December, and includes the distances of 53 km and 106 km.

Ride Ajman 2021 aims to highlight the sporting identity and touristic landmarks of Ajman and promote its sports destinations, spread the culture of individual sports and develop a new generation of athletes by attracting young people to practice different types of sports by organizing events activities suitable for everyone, support and develop local sporting events that create a positive impact on a global level, in addition to promoting the culture of tolerance among the local community through collective activities that connect all nationalities that constitute the diverse society of the UAE.

This race confirms Ajman’s capacity to organize all types of events and activities, and the wide expertise it enjoys in hosting and organizing entertainment, cultural, and sports events has contributed in reinforcing its position on the local and global tourism map, and in increasing the confidence in the tourism services it offers to its visitors.

His Excellency, Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, stated that Ride Ajman 2021 is now considered as one of the important events on the UAE’s agenda of local races after achieving great success in its past editions, whether in terms of the number of participants or the public’s interest in it. This asserts Ajman’s leading position which it has achieved by being a global touristic destination offering state-of-the-art infrastructure, and its ability to organize events at the highest level.
