In which countries did the Russian tourists celebrate New Year-2019?

Tour operators called the TOP-5 of the most popular foreign destinations for the past New Year holidays.  
According to the aggregated sales data of leading tour operators, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and European countries (ski and sightseeing tours) are in the TOP-5 destinations for the New Year sales period. Behind them in the TOP-10 are Israel, the seaside resorts of Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Cuba and India (Goa). Tourist retail still lacks Egypt in New Year's dates. 
The presence in the TOP-5 of Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam is quite understandable – the Russians still try to spend long winter holidays in warm countries. 
Moreover, this season the volume of transportation to a number of popular visa-free areas has increased. For example, after Coral Travel tour operator the charter programs for the popular Vietnamese resort Phu Quoc was launched by ANEX Tour operator. The programs in Thailand, Turkey, Cuba and the Dominican Republic were expanded. 
Thailand, according to expert estimates, was visited a maximum of 120-150 thousand tourists from the Russian Federation two weeks before and after the New Year. 
So, Thailand, despite the rise in prices in local hotels, according to most tour operators, has become the leader of sales for the New Year holidays, The cost of tours started from 60-70 thousand Rubles (796 – 929 Euros) per person. 
In the UAE, in contrast to past seasons, this winter tour operators offered more budget hotels and destinations (Sharjah). So, during New Year you could travel there for only 42-45 thousand Rubles (557 – 560 Euros) per person. 
The cost of the tour to Turkey on New Year's dates started from 20 thousand Rubles (265 Euros) per person. 
However, on the New Year the Russians booked a vacation not only on the beaches. In the top demand were excursion and ski tours to Europe - the Czech Republic was most often booked for urban and sightseeing trips (for example, Intourist’s sales of this destination increased by 33%). 
For ski holidays - Italy, Andorra, France and Austria became the most popular. So, among tourists of TUI Russia operator Andorra has become the most popular ski destination. Clients of ICS Travel Group were more interested in trips to Italy, France and Austria.
