In June Russians are on the first place by the number of trips to Montenegro

“In June 2017 Russian tourists became the leaders by the number of visits to Montenegro”, - according to the data published by the country's statistics service. In June, 117.4 thousand foreign tourists visited Montenegro. On the first place are Russians - 16.1% (18.8 thousand people). On the second place are the tourists from Serbia - 12% of the tourist flow (15.1 thousand people), on the third - Poland (6.6 thousand people). By the number of nights in hotels in Montenegro, Russian tourists have become even more obvious leaders: among 540 thousand night more than 25% (136.3 thousand) were of Russians. Among the leaders are also Serbia (13.2%), Poland (6%), France (5.6%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (4.4%), Great Britain (4.2%), Germany (3.7%) and Ukraine (2.7%). At the same time, the number of visits of Russian tourists significantly decreased over the year. In June 2016, 49.6 thousand Russians visited Montenegro, the decrease of tourist flow was 63%. "The drop of the number of tourist arrivals to Montenegro from Russia was connected, first of all, with returning of cheap Turkey, which has become for many family tourists a good option for rest with children", - said in the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
