Etihad to launch second daily flight from Abu Dhabi to Domodedovo
“Etihad Airline from the UAE will launch an additional daily flight from Abu Dhabi to Moscow Domodedovo Airport, its flight program is scheduled for the period from October 27 to May 10, 2020,” reports the press service of the airline.
"Based on the success of the current flight program between the capitals of the United Arab Emirates and Russia, Etihad Airways will launch a new second daily flight between Abu Dhabi and Moscow Domodedovo Airport, flights will be performed seasonally from October 27 to May 10, 2020," the message said.
As the airline noted, the flight will be operated by Airbus A320 in addition to the Airbus A321, which currently operates flights between Abu Dhabi and Moscow. It is assumed that the new flight will allow passengers to choose a flight in the morning or in the evening, as well as provide convenient connection at Abu Dhabi airport to Australia, India, Thailand, Singapore, Maldives and other countries of South and Southeast Asia.
According to the commercial director of Etihad Aviation Group Robin Kamarka, the route from Moscow to Abu Dhabi is in great demand not only among tourists, but also among business people. “By adding a new flight, we emphasize the importance of the Russian market,” he explained.
According to the press service of the airline, Russia is the second largest market for inbound tourism in the UAE. In 2018 820 thousand Russian travelers visited the country.
