Tours to Mexico with a direct flight from Moscow to Cancun appeared on sale on Wednesday, August 16. The tours are organized by "Pegasus" on the basis of charter flights of the affiliated airline “Nordwind”. Tourists will be transported by A-330 every ten days. As the General Director of the tour operator Anna Podgornaya told – “the flight program will start at the beginning of the winter season, its expansion is not planned yet”. Travel agents expect high demand. So, according to Irina Konfetova, the General Director of Con-Tour, last year Mexico did not have charters, but there were a lot of requests from tourists. In this case, for tourists the flying by regular flights with transfers was quite expensive. "The real sales of this direction will begin from the end of September. Mexico will compete with the Caribbean countries: Dominican Republic and Cuba. There is a numerous hotel fund, there is something to see - Mayan pyramids and other attractions. You can combine beach holidays with sightseeing", - said the travel agent. Yuri Khanamiryan, General Director of "Khantur", also intends to sell Pegasus tours, but, in his opinion, the example of the tour operator could soon be followed by "Biblio Globus" and “Anex Tour”. The first is likely will load the boards of airline "Rossia" from Vnukovo and the second will fly by its own Azur Air from Domodedovo. If the competitors of Pegasus will launch their own transportation, he warned about a possible surplus of it.
