Anex Tour starts cruises business

Anex Tour (the Turkish tour operator) officially announced that the company is starting a cruise business buying the first cruise ship in its history. The cruise product of Anex Tour will be offered on the Russian market. The founder and chairman of the board of directors of Anex Tour, Neshet Kochkar, said that the tour operator has entered into an agreement with Saga Cruises Company on selling the Saga Sapphire sea cruise ship.

“Now a week on a Mediterranean cruise ship from the top cruise companies costs 699 Euros per person, and on the new ships from MSC - from 399 Euros per person. By itself, Saga Sapphire is not a competitor on the cruise market. However, Anex Tour has a huge advantage that will allow it to stably load the liner at reasonable prices - this is the availability of its own charter programs in Antalya, from where cruises will start. There have been no package cruises on the market for a long time, and if Russian tourists are offered adequate prices with charter flight, this could be the advantage of Anex Tour in the segment of affordable cruises,” the head of one of the cruise operators on the Russian market said.
