A fifth part of summer tours to Turkey are already sold out

Turkey in January accounts 57% of tours which were sold for the summer season of 2020. The increase of volumes of tours on the early booking stage to Turkey among major players reaches 200%. This is connected with discounts (up to 40-50%) and the activity of tourists.

According to preliminary estimates, the organized tourist flow to Turkey from Russia by the end of 2019 increased by at least 15%. Over the 11 months of 2019, compared with the same period in 2018, the number of trips of Russians to Turkey increased by 17,42%. It is expected that in 2019 Turkey will reach a record level of Russian tourist flow: at least 7,1-7,2 million trips.

The past summer season of 2019 was successful for Turkey in terms of increasing tourist flow from the Russian market. Despite a significant increase in prices, many Russians did not find alternatives to Turkish resorts in terms of price-quality ratio.

The early booking program of Turkish resorts that entered the active phase in January 2020 (the program was opened by the leading tour operators in the beginning and middle of autumn) shows that Turkey intends to further strengthen its position as the main destination for Russian tourists.

So, in the federal network of travel agencies “1001 tour”, as of mid-January 2020, the share of Turkey among all bookings of package tours for the summer season (May - October 2020) amounted to 57,4%.
