Russian tourists bought up tours to ski resorts in Turkey

Russian tourists have bought 80-90% of ski tours to Turkey for the coming winter, according Marina Makarkova, the head of the PR department of Coral Travel.
"Tours to the resort of Erciyes (Kayseri) were bought up to 80%, to Palandoken (Erzurum) – up to 90%. Interest in both destinations increased by 30% compared to last year. First of all, tourists buy rooms at 4-5* hotels located near the chairlift," she said.
Makarkova recalled that the tour operator arranged New Year's package tours on charter flights of Ural Airlines - to Kayseri Airport (December 27 and January 3) and Red Wings airline - to Erzurum Airport (December 28 and January 4).
Erciyes ski resort is located on the slopes of volcano in central Turkey. About 2 million tourists from different countries visit it annually, 300 thousand of them are skiers. Last season, the resort hosted 250 Russians each week. Erciyes is actively developing, the total investment in its infrastructure amounted to $ 450 million. It is also easy to get from the resort to the popular tourist destination of Cappadocia, the journey time will be an hour.
Palandoken is the youngest ski resort in Turkey, located near the border with Armenia. Suitable for skiers of various levels, including children. The resort has Russian-speaking instructors.
