Resorts of Aegean coast in Turkey show explosive demand
Tour operators confirm that the demand for the Aegean coast among Russians this year has increased significantly and continues to grow.
The beach season on the Aegean coast of Turkey almost ended in October (resorts Dalaman, Fethiye, Oludeniz, Marmaris, Bodrum, Izmir, Kusadasi, Didim, Cesme) and we can talk about an increase of the Russian tourist flow by almost a third. It is noted, that the increase in the volume of Russian tourist flow in Antalya is less - it amounted to 13% in annual terms.
The total share of Aegean coast in the Russian tourist flow to Turkey is also growing. If in 2018, according to the results of January-October, the Russian tourist flow to the Aegean coast amounted to less than 8% of the total tourist flow to the resorts of Antalya, then this year it is already 9,47%. The data of Russian tour operators, working with this region, convincingly indicate a certain diversification of the dynamics of Russian tourist demand of Turkey.
Thus, according to Intourist, this season 36% more tourists were sent to the resorts of Muula province with an arrival in Dalaman than in 2018. Pegas Touristik reported the tourist flow to the Aegean coast increased by more than 45% this year.
Tui Russia notes, the increase in volumes of Aegean coast in the summer season of 2019 amounted to more than 56% compared to the same period of 2018. Coral Travel and Biblio-Globus volumes increased slightly, remaining almost at the level of the previous year.
The average cost of a tour (7-10 days) in this region of Turkey in the summer period of 2019 was about 1 134 – 1 844 Euros for two persons, depending on the category of the hotel and the length of the stay. The most expensive months are July, August and September.
“Sales of tours to the Aegean coast in November for 2020 are two times higher than last year,” Tui said. According to this company, now, at the stage of early booking, tours to resorts of the Aegean coast can be bought on average for 851 – 1 134 Euros for two for 7 days.
