Turkish airline “Onur Air” refused to plan flights to Istanbul from a number of Russian cities

“Turkish low-cost airline “Onur Air” refused from regular flights to Istanbul from Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Chelyabinsk and Volgograd, due to low demand. These routes were planned to open in spring of this year”, - said Elmir Tulunai the Head of sales department of “Onur Air”. According to her, this decision was taken by the company's management after acquainting with the sales statistics. Despite the fact that the air tickets were sold by "sufficiently low price" action there was not enough interest from the passengers. At the same time, she stressed that “Onur Air” is planning to perform regular flights to Istanbul from Moscow airport Zhukovsky and has already flown from Grozny (Chechnya). "Grozny and Moscow are left, they have a very good sells", - underlined E.Tulunai. She reminded that the carrier launched flights from Grozny to Istanbul since March 29 and performed them three times a week - on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Since May 2 the company is ready to carry out flights from "Zhukovsky" three times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Earlier it was reported, that since May 2017 “Onur Air” planned to open regular flights to Istanbul three times a week from Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Volgograd and Zhukovsky airport (Moscow region).
