Tour operators told about prospects for demand for Tanzania
Tour operator Biblio-Globus decided to resume flights to Tanzania after October 1, the press service of the company said.
Other leading tour operators have no plans to send tourists to Tanzania yet. Anex Tour hopes that the Maldives will become available for guests from Russia (the tour operator has arranged direct flights there), and Pegasus CEO Anna Podgornaya named the countries of Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and India as most promising destinations. However, it is impossible to predict the date of the start of flights under current conditions.
In this connection, travel agencies can only recommend to clients to pay attention to domestic tourism, as well as to Turkey (also in winter season).
Biblio-Globus arranged flights to the Tanzanian island of Zanzibar together with Rossiya airline until March 22, 2020, when the last group of the tour operator left the island. In August, the Russian embassy announced that Tanzania was ready to host Russian citizens.
Judging by the survey data, the opinions of potential tourists were divided almost equally: 53% of participants would prefer to refrain from traveling, the rest are ready to fly there if there are interesting prices for tours. Representatives of travel agencies, in turn, do not doubt that Tanzania will be in demand. “I think Zanzibar will sell successfully in the winter season. But in principle, any destination, that opens in the autumn-winter season, will be the leader," says the head of Pink Elephant travel agency network Aleksan Mkrtchyan.
