Tour operators note a noticeable increase in demand for Qatar
Positive dynamics in the Qatari destination are observed by all surveyed tour operators - Anex, Pac Group, Fun&Sun, and Russian Express. In Pax, the increase of flow is 20-25% compared to the same period in 2022. At Space Travel, demand is growing weekly compared to last year's volumes. Ambotis Holidays has increased the number of sold tours several times compared to last year. The depth of sales has also increased noticeably - for Ambotis Holidays it already reaches March 2024.
Tour operators are confident that demand for Qatar will continue to grow. And by the end of 2023, according to Fun&Sun, it may exceed last year’s volumes by 15%. Space Travel plans to double the flow of tourists to Qatar.
Reasonable prices for transportation and hotels, visa-free entry and short flights are the factors that positively influence demand. Qatar also adds “points of interest” to its tourist content.
The share of tourists who choose Qatar as an independent destination is growing. This year the demand is distributed approximately equally - 50% is for stopovers, and half - for trips around Qatar.
Cruise tourists also show interest in exploring the country. Pac Group clients make holiday in Qatar before or after sea cruise departing from Doha. In the winter season, the company expects sales growth, including due to this category of tourists.
Prices for holidays in Qatar in dollars have not changed, increasing only due to the fall of the ruble exchange rate. Budget tour for the New Year's holiday starts from at least $ 1 747 for two persons.
