Demand for Qatar is recovering
Assessing the demand for Qatar, tour operators call it as resilient, recovering from the pandemic.
Intourist, in the assortment of which Qatar appeared in 2018, recalls that demand in 2019 was on the rise, with the force of a huge wave. And Qatar at that time was the fastest growing Middle East destination, the most promising new resort in the tour operator's portfolio.
“The pandemic hit demand. But the potential of Qatar has become even stronger. The infrastructure of Qatar is adapting for mass Russian tourists. The first all-inclusive hotel opens, urban tourist beaches appear. There is no doubt that demand for Qatar will grow. The country is quite cheerfully recovering from the pandemic,” experts of Intourist report.
Anna Filatovskaya, director of the advertising and PR department of Russian Express company, also has no doubts about the strength of Qatar as a tourist destination. She says that the country is interesting for both individual and group tourists.
“Now sales have slowed down, and not only because of the political situation, but also because of the ongoing Football Championship. Now we are more focused on sales of New Year's dates,” the expert says.
Tourists of Pax company are now actively buying tours for the World Cup and have already started booking tours for the New Year. Nowadays, there are first requests for a new all-inclusive Rixos hotel, as well as Raffles, Pax confirms.
